The Storyworking Method®
Rewrite Your Narrative, Transform Your Wellbeing
I use my own approach, The Storyworking Method®, to help you uncover and reshape the personal metaphors and narratives that influence your wellbeing, often far more than we recognise.
Storyworking isn’t therapy or coaching. It’s not about fixing you. It’s about freeing you, from stale scripts, outdated metaphors and internal narratives that no longer serve who you are or where you’re going.
These 1-2-1 sessions are a space to explore your current ‘story matrix’ and begin actively shaping a narrative that feels authentic, aligned and empowering.

What is Storyworking?
We think in stories. We speak in metaphors. We dream in symbols. And often, those stories are quietly running our lives, from the inside out.
The Storyworking Method® explores the idea that your current state – emotionally, mentally, even physically – is woven through with recurring stories, phrases, symbols and images that form your personal mythology. Some uplift. Others undermine.
Storyworking gives you the tools to become aware of these patterns, challenge them where needed, and start crafting updated narratives that better reflect who you are today and who you want to be. This work happens at every level of awareness – conscious, subconscious and somatic. It’s practical, imaginative and deeply grounded in your personal experience.
What Happens in a Storyworking Session?
Every session is unique, but here’s a general structure:
1. Mapping Your Current Story Matrix
We begin by identifying the stories you’re living by – some conscious, others hidden in self-talk, behaviour patterns or emotional triggers. Often, your own language holds the clues.
2. Exploring Personal Metaphors
Using your astrological chart as a backdrop, we explore recurring metaphors and symbols in your thinking, feeling and dreaming. These aren’t abstract – they show up in how you speak about your life, your challenges and your desires.
3. Reworking the Narrative
This is where we start shifting and shaping your story. Depending on your focus, this may include:
-
Affirmation design – creating new language to reflect your updated narrative
-
Kinaesthetic anchoring – using movement or gesture to ground the new story
-
Symbolic ritual or visualisation – to bring clarity and embodiment
While I do offer hypnosis, guided meditation and other eyes closed techniques, these are not typically used in the first session, as they require careful scripting and preparation to be truly effective. If these deeper subconscious tools feel appropriate for future work, we’ll discuss and plan for them in a way that aligns with your goals and comfort level.
4. Mapping Your Current Story Matrix
We’ll identify your Storyworking Springboard – a symbolic or practical starting point for living your updated story in real time. Think of it as “Chapter One” of a new narrative, grounded in action.
